Facial using hot towels

The facial uses hot towels to help nourish the skin and by using organic anti-ageing products to work deeply on facial tissue it will help increase, nutrients and encouraging nerve supply resulting in the skin looking more contoured, fresher and (over a series of treatments) tighter.  The facial consists of cleaning, exfoliating, mask, toning and moisturisation.  When enrolling in the 12 week programme you will receive a full Facial on appointments 3, 6, 9 and 12.  If you are having a single treatment you can choose to have a full facial or a full reflexology as part of the treatment experience. If you choose to have a treatment of 3 consecutive days ahead of an event you will receive the full facial on appointment 3. When attending the appointments that do not include a full facial you will receive receive cleansing, toning, moisturisation an a full reflexology.

Using hot towels helps to open up the pores and stimulate blood and lymph circulation. It softens the skin and encourages the sebaceous glands to clear. Using hot towels also exfoliates the skin to expose younger cells and removes make-up, oils, and pollutants.

Healing Visualisation

This is an important part of the treatment and helping let go of emotions held in the face is an essential part of this unique holistic approach. In Native American culture, referencing mother earth and elements in nature for healing mind, body and soul is traditional and widely practiced. Visualisation is active and in the moment to helps you change energy and mindset.

Smudging

Burning sacred herbs have been used for centuries by shaman and healers to cleanse the spirit and remove negative energy. If you choose to have a treatment on 3 consecutive days ahead of an event you will receive the full reflexology on appointments 1 and 2.  When attending the appointments that do not include a full facial reflexology you will receive receive an express facial reflexology and full facial.

Face Lift Massage & Gua Sha

The massage combines the very best and most effective ancient and modern facelifting massage techniques and has been designed to lift and sculpt the facial contours, smooth away wrinkles and also tighten sagging neck lines. It works primarily by freeing constrictions both within the facial muscles and in the connective tissue.

The sculpting is an ancient anti-ageing technique (Gua Sha) which uses a jade tool to massage, smooth and gently sweep the skin to improve blood flow and circulation, release stagnation, muscle tension and tightness in the face to name a few of the benefits listed above.  It uses rhythmic strokes which include stimulation of facial reflexology points, adding the internal health benefits to balance the entire body, not just the face.

Facial Gua sha is extremely gentle and not to be confused with body Gua sha.  Regular Gua sha can help prevent acne breakouts by reducing clogged pores, can reduce acne scarring, encourage new skin growth and will also allow the organic facial oils to penetrate deeper to nourish the skin.
